Hotel in good location, decent clean room, funny smell the first day, but disappeared after the first day. Lots of restaurants and transportation around the area, near via Veneto, American Embassy, San Patrick American Church, and Villa Borghese, easy to visit historical sights. Breakfast on a light side for the price, go to next door coffee shop, we still recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely amazing the staff was amazing couldn't do enough for you always helpful and very kind close to all attractions alittle shop/stall over rd sold everything they was amazing very helpful the room was great and the bed very comfey would definitely come back again

We stayed 3 nights, one was pre tour with Insight Vacations. Our room was small but newly renovated and adequate as we were only there to sleep. Hotel is central to main tourist sights, many within walking distance. Yes, only one (small) lift was operating while we were there but it was fine to take the stairs. Breakfast was adequate, not flash, and with 2 tour groups in while we were there, they often ran out of cups and glasses which wasn't good. Overall we were happy with our stay

We were with 40 other people on a tour group. Since we came in a day early, I was able to keep the top level room (the most expensive) that I had booked for the other 2 days. The staff didn't seem too happy about it but let us stay. Our room had been renovated and though small wasn't bad. The shower was incredibly small and water got all over the floor when we used it with no way to adjust it. The worst thing was the boiler was broken and we only had cold water for 2 of the days. One of the elevators was broken so there was one tiny elevator that would only hold 4 people for the whole hotel. Those of us on higher floors that were able to walked a lot of stairs! Construction was constant and the hotel wasn't very well located. Others on the tour commented their rooms were "awful" and "the worst" they had ever been in. Breakfast was average with fake eggs/undercooked bacon (we had this many other places on our tour) but they had a nice selection of fruits, pastries, etc. and plenty of selections. The coffee/water machine kept breaking down, and they were always running out of coffee cups and glasses. The staff was always friendly to us and helpful when we had questions. I am still not sure why our tour group keeps using this hotel with all the negative reviews they get. I do feel like they are trying to improve, but there is a ways to go!

Part of Insight Vacations tour group. We were the first guests to stay supposedly post renovation. Problem was it was still a construction zone. It was a complete Fawlty Towers experience. They should have organised alternative venue rather than assure tour operators that all was good except for internal telephones not working. Poor internet then we returned from day out to no internet. Management did not think to advise us of change to internet access and new password required. Reception area was a tiny desk with no sign nor way of getting assistance when unmanned. Too many non working amenities, breakfast room not open so sat at long tables set up for conventions/computer usage. Layout of breakfast poor due to lack of space and no forethought as to ensure good flow for guests. Construction taking place with breakfast items set up for the next day, construction dust flying around. Construction noise until 10pm at night. Fire doors without hardware so people could not get to their rooms. Plumbing leaking into rooms from floor above. Construction workers kept commandeering the only working lift so some of our group had difficulty getting to and from their rooms. Showers were the tiniest I have ever experienced. Bathroom layout poorly designed - minimal room to walk past vanity to toilet. Need to be super thin to be able to use bathroom comfortably. No fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, no space to open suitcases (I know standard for much of Europe). As a group there was minimal space for us to congregate so we commandeered front window room and carried furniture from other spaces. I had misfortune to fall down the stairs due to failure of stair tread. Others had slips but luckily did not fall. Stair treads reattached with gaffer tape over the, to hold them in place! My clothes were damaged by adhesive from stair treads not able to be removed by dry cleaning. I was promised I would be sent 50 euros for replacement clothing. Four months and many emails later still no money sent to me. I did not claim for cost of excursion I missed the next day due to being to sore to walk. Tour company has been of no assistance and from reviews appears to be still using this venue.
